He finished his college career with 140 receptions for 1,840 yards and 11 touchdowns, won the 2012 John Mackey Award as the nation's top tight end, and earned First Team All-American honors. He also helped lead Notre Dame to the 2012 BCS National Championship Game.
Selected by the Cincinnati Bengals with the 21st overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, Eifert developed into one of the NFL's most dangerous red-zone targets. His breakout 2015 season saw him record 52 receptions for 615 yards and 13 touchdowns, earning his first Pro Bowl selection. His 13 touchdown receptions that season remain the most ever by a Bengals tight end.
