Gohlke became a national sensation during the 2024 NCAA Tournament when the No. 14-seeded Oakland Golden Grizzlies stunned No. 3 Kentucky in the first round. Gohlke scored a career-high 32 points, knocking down 10 three-pointers in Oakland's 80-76 upset victory and instantly becoming one of the most recognizable players of the tournament.
Known for his unique game and relentless three-point shooting, Gohlke attempted 364 three-pointers during his lone season at Oakland, making 137 of them. He finished the 2023-24 season averaging 13.1 points per game and helped lead the Golden Grizzlies to the Horizon League Tournament championship and their historic March Madness run.
